Dave Pfund is an innovation-driven lighting industry thought leader focused on technologies that advance personal wellbeing and sustainable building initiatives. He is passionate about lighting science, biological and psychological responses to light, and related health impacts. Dave has extensive product development experience focused on disruptive products and methodologies that streamline deployment, minimize embodied energy, and increase the adaptive capacity of buildings. In his current role as Senior Vice President of Research and Product Management at The Lighting Quotient, Dave is the chief science and technology advisor for the development of UVGI disinfection products and controls. He is an experienced conference speaker having presented twice at IFMA World Workplace, the AIA National Conference, and Atlanta Workplace. He is a 4-time Neocon speaker and has presented at the ASHRAE High Performance Buildings Conference and numerous regional lighting industry events. Most recently, Dave presented on the topic of UVGI air disinfection at LIGHTFAIR International and was co-presenter of “Lighting Design and GUV Technology”, a webinar presented by the International Association of Lighting Designers.
